Details

On December 3rd, Grandmaster Timur Gareyev accomplished what no other person has, he played chess against 48 people blindfolded, collecting 80.2% of the available points – a new world record.

We were approached by Off Da Rook and Timur, only 3 weeks prior to the event, with no clear cut plan in place for broadcast. We managed to pull off a seamless 20-hour live multi-camera broadcast of the entire event, with nearly 30,000 people tuning in, and a peak of over 2,100 people watching simultaneously (pretty awesome for an extended chess broadcast). The stream was embedded on Chess.com, Chess24.com.

The crew included: Ryan Ray, Keith Ray, Krystle Aguilera, Luisa Pacheco, Jayson Kingdon, and Claus Schmidt.
